Trinity Fruit Company
With $0 down from Trinity, Scale will deploy a microgrid incorporating solar, energy storage, smart controls, and backup dispatchable generation to provide clean resilience and reduce the overall carbon footprint of the facility.
Trinity Fruit Company is one of the premier growers, packers and shippers of fresh fruits in California’s Central Valley. They feature a full line of California fruits supported by a network of worldwide growers.
As with most businesses across California, Public Safety Power Shutoffs are creating massive operational challenges and risk. In order to maintain their eco-friendly operation, they need to ensure that their facility runs both efficiently and reliably.
In normal conditions, the microgrid will balance supply and demand in real time through the managed dispatch of grid power, battery storage, a natural gas generator, and solar PV.
In emergency conditions, the facility will seamlessly transition away from the grid to microgrid power, and the solar PV and battery storage will contribute to fuel savings, redundancy, and reduced emissions.
